On Friday, September 6th, we attended the ESCRS iNovation® Day in Barcelona, an event which brought together doctors, corporate executives, and leaders from the financial community across Europe and beyond to explore the future of the ophthalmic industry.
Emerging Company Showcase
Professor Sunil Shah from Photon Therapeutics participated in the Emerging Company Showcase, where he presented “Five Amazing Seconds: UVC Light to Treat Corneal Infections.” His presentation highlighted our innovative device, PhotonUVC, which can treat corneal infections in just five seconds. This contactless treatment uses empiric 265nm UVC light, with only one or two treatments required.
We are thrilled to announce that Photon Therapeutics was recognised as the winner of the ESCRS Innovation Session, which asked attendees, “Which of the following emerging technologies will have the biggest potential impact on ophthalmic practices and patients in the near future?”.
This is an exciting time for Photon Therapeutics, and this recognition by industry experts underscores the potential of our technology to transform the treatment of corneal ulcers.
