The Science of PhotonUVC Vet.

How Does it Work?

Ultraviolet light is composed of three main subgroups – UVA is considered safe and is found in nightclubs as “blacklights” and is considered tanning UV. UVB is recognised as being the largest contributor to skin cancer being a higher energy light than UVA.

UVC (the specific patented wavelength of the PhotonUVC device) is reported to be as safe as UVA light, but as it is completely blocked by the earth’s atmosphere, we are not exposed to it naturally, Microbes therefore have no resistance to UVC light and in the very small targeted doses used by the PhotonUVC device, has been demonstrated safe to human cells, while being lethal to bacteria. We already know UVC light is safe to use on the eye, it is the same light used in refractive lasers at much higher power for laser eye surgery to correct long and short sightedness.

Studies have shown UVC Naturally Deactivates Infecting Organisms.

UVC is an effective broad spectrum empiric treatment targeting the DNA of all microbes whilst sparing host tissues. There is no bacterial resistance to UVC light.
