Photon Therapeutics is delighted to welcome Becky Dockerty to the team as Territory Manager. Becky brings more than two decades of pharmaceutical sales experience, alongside a background in microbiology and extensive experience in the veterinary sector.

Based in North Yorkshire, Becky will support veterinary practices across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, helping introduce PhotonUVC to more veterinary professionals and support its growing adoption in practice.

The role brings together two areas that have shaped Becky’s career: microbiology and veterinary medicine.

Becky began her career with a degree in Biotechnology, during which she developed a strong interest in microbiology and gained hands-on experience working in a hospital microbiology department. This sparked a lasting interest in pharmaceutical development and the science behind healthcare, before she moved into pharmaceutical sales in human healthcare, working with companies including AstraZeneca and Sanofi.

After taking a career break to raise her children, Becky decided to take her career in a new direction, moving into veterinary pharmaceutical sales with Merial, which subsequently became part of Boehringer Ingelheim.

During her 12 years in the business, Becky developed long-standing relationships with veterinary practices and their teams. One of the most rewarding aspects of working in the veterinary sector has been seeing those relationships grow alongside the practices themselves.

The combination of science, customer relationships and veterinary medicine made the opportunity at Photon Therapeutics the perfect opportunity for her.

‘It felt like a natural fit for me, allowing me to bring together my background in microbiology with all my experience working with veterinary practices, which is something I’ve really enjoyed throughout my career.’

PhotonUVC particularly appealed to Becky because of its potential to support antimicrobial stewardship and reduce reliance on antibiotics over the long term.

‘The science behind PhotonUVC really interested me, particularly the potential to help manage cases while reducing the use of antibiotics. It just felt like a really exciting opportunity to be involved with something that could make a genuine difference.’

She was also drawn to the opportunity to be part of Photon’s growth as the technology moves beyond early adopters and key opinion leaders and into wider general practice.

‘I’m really looking forward to seeing PhotonUVC grow and to being part of that journey, from the early adopters and KOLs through to seeing it become something that’s much more widely used in general practice.’

For Becky, the opportunity is ultimately about helping veterinary professionals access technology that can make a meaningful difference to clinical practice and the lives of the animals they care for.

‘As a pet owner myself, I know how difficult it can be to manage some of these conditions and administer treatments at home. What really excites me is the opportunity to make administering treatments easier for pets, owners and veterinary teams.’

With her combination of scientific knowledge, pharmaceutical experience and deep understanding of veterinary practice, Becky is looking forward to helping more practices discover the potential of PhotonUVC and supporting its continued adoption across her territory.
